Best small grow light for a single seed tray
One 1020 tray is about 21 x 11 inches, so a 2-foot bar covers its length. A 4-foot bar would overhang by more than two feet.

What the numbers say
- Barrina lists its 2-foot MF10 at 10 W, 5000K, 120 degree beam, linkable up to 16 lamps. The page gives no lumen figure.
- One 10 W bar on for 14 hours a day for 70 days uses 9.8 kWh, which is about $1.47 at 15 cents per kWh. See running cost.
- Oklahoma State says tube ends lose about 3 inches of intensity. A 24 inch bar over a 21 inch tray leaves little room to spare, so centre the tray under the bar.
- If you add a second tray, add a second bar. The calculator shows the layout.
